Do you have a resolution?
I don’t and I’ll tell you why.
Resolutions more often than not are pushed aside and forgotten by the second month in the new year. So, instead, I’m setting out some monthly goals for myself. I’m breaking things down into achievable goals that need to get done!
- Read books off my shelf
- Outline a/some WIPs
- Make new connections
- Work on self-care
They look simple enough, and in the broad scheme, they are. BUT when you add up 12 months of achievements, they add up to monumental changes.
So tell me, what are your goals for January?
If you haven’t been watching me on social media, then you probably don’t know what big news I was discussing! Especially if you aren’t in my exclusive group on Facebook.
Well, the octopus is out of the bag friend! I have a new short story available. More exciting than that, it’s part one of four short stories inside a new collection.
How far is too far when it comes to sacrifice under the sea?
Eighteen-year-old Jager and his older brother, Kriegen, are recent graduates from Selith Academy-an elite school for merfolk. The two work to help their community after tragedy befell their father, but when the Uplanders break a promise, the two mermen only have one goal-keep the kingdom safe at any cost.
When the brothers are divided in their responses, they quickly learn that every choice has a consequence, and every action has a price.
If you liked Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly, Breakwater by Catherine Jones Payne, or The Mermaid by Christina Henry, you’ll love this.
Every two weeks I’ll be releasing a short from the collection, so if you’re interested…here is the schedule:
Until next time,
